Selah Celebrates Spring State Qualifiers in Style

There’s something special happening at Selah High School right now. As the school year comes to a close, multiple SHS programs are heading to state competition, and the excitement around campus is impossible to miss. From athletics to leadership organizations, students from all different backgrounds and activities are representing Selah at the highest level.

On Thursday morning, SHS students, staff, families, and community members gathered throughout the halls for a state send-off celebration honoring our state qualifiers in:

  • FFA
  • Girls Golf
  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Tennis
  • WAHSET
  • Lacrosse

The SHS band led the celebration with the fight song as athletes and qualifiers marched through the halls surrounded by cheers, signs, and support from fellow students.

One of the coolest parts about Selah is how the community rallies behind each other. It didn’t matter if students were involved in sports, clubs, or band. Everyone came together to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of these teams and individuals. Teachers brought classes into the hallways, families packed the school, and even neighboring schools lined the streets to support the send-off parade.

Qualifying for state takes dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours of practice, preparation, and teamwork. These students are not only representing themselves but also representing the culture, pride, and tradition of Selah High School.

Good luck to all of our state qualifiers. The entire Selah community is proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish at state. Go Vikings!
